So, how much inventory should you actually buy?
Well, you can’t know how much product to buy if you don’t know your sales goals and profit goals.
When you’re first starting, it’s even more confusing because many numbers that you come up with to plan are going to be guesstimates.
And that’s ok because that’s how all businesses get started.
We start with an educated guess of our numbers and only after our first year will we really know better what those numbers should be and what we can expect in the future.
The longer and longer that you’re in business, the more you will be able to predict these numbers more accurately.
Ok, for me personally, I like to start with the most exciting number of all.
How much I want to eventually pay myself.
I don’t care what this number is. I want you to really ask yourself how much you eventually want to make in this business.
Starting with this number is exciting because it’s what will motivate you as you build your business.
